every 3rd Sunday of the month, join as us black womxn from anywhere commune to use the power of breathwork to deepen our inhales, release stagnant energy, stress and anxiety and make space for our expansion.

gather with us on Sunday, August 18th 7:00pm - 8:30pm EST in the comfort of your home for a restorative evening with our sisterhood. Recordings, playlist and digital takeaway sent after session-end for those unable to make it live.

fear of failure was one of the top things we heard during our expansion tour when participants were asked about what’s in the way of moving closing to their desires. going places we’ve never gone before and moving past any kind of box we’ve been put in brings up all of the gunk we need to move past in order to get there. generations and generations of beliefs have been embedded in our psyche and nervous system around safety and feeling secure when stepping out in unknown territory so it’s going to take doing the deeper work to unlearn and reframe our nervous system to its response around the “unknown.”

this month, we’re diving deeper on the specific fear of failing — and things not turning out how we wish to go as we make bold moves and dare to take up more space in our lives.

in true black girls breathing™ fashion, we’ll focus more around working with this energy (a normal fear that arises — especially given our community’s history and lack of ability to fail for survival means) vs. trying to get rid of it. understanding that fear is a normal part of one’s journey to actualizing their desires, we’ll use the reflective portion to identify where those fears exist in the body, the specific narratives that play in order to convince us of their validity, and their origin. after tuning in to where it sits in the body, we’ll couple that knowledge with the power of breathwork to begin the process of shifting that energy.

flow of the virtual breathwork circle:

- 1st 30 minutes: reflection and guided discussion of monthly theme

- breathe for 45 minutes: 35 minutes of active breathing, 10 minutes of rest

- last 15 minutes: questions + remarks / close of circle

Sessions are guided by Jasmine Marie, a trained breathworker and mindfulness practitioner.
